FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • WHAT DOES IT COST TO PARK?
    Kirkwood offers free on-site parking for our guests.
  • WHERE DO I GO TO ENTER KIRKWOOD?
    All guests enter the park through the entrance gate and admission booth. Daily tickets may be purchased in advance or upon arrival at admissions. Season memberships and general admission tickets will all be scanned before entering the park.
  • MAY I PURCHASE TICKETS ON-SITE?
    Yes, tickets and season memberships are available at the Kirkwood Admissions Booth. Season memberships (which include admission to Twisted Trails Haunted Attraction) are also available online for purchase at gokirkwood.com/shop.
  • WHAT WILL I NEED TO ENTER KIRKWOOD?
    At the admission booth you will receive a wristband. Guests must wear their wristbands at all times while on premises as proof of admission.
  • DO I NEED TO WEAR THE WRISTBAND?
    Yes! Wristbands are a very important way for staff to recognize park guests and activities purchased. Every guest is required to wear a wristband while at Kirkwood.
  • IS FOOD AND DRINK AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
    Yes, Mama’s Kitchen will be open for food, drink and snacks while you are at Kirkwood. There will also be an additional snack booth on Baptist Boulevard.
  • WHAT IF I FORGOT MY SUNSCREEN OR TOWEL?
    Our merchandise booth will have items such as sunscreen, towels, souvenir cups, and many other items you may need on your visit available for purchase.
  • IS THERE A PLACE TO CHANGE?
    Yes. We have changing areas for individuals and families, as well as lockers, located at the Main Lodge to make your visit easier for storing your items while you enjoy all that we have to offer.
  • IS THERE A PLACE TO STORE MY ITEMS?
    Yes, Kirkwood has lockers in the Main Lodge for guests to utilize throughout the day. Locks are available for purchase at Mama’s Kitchen.
  • ARE LIFE JACKETS REQUIRED AND PROVIDED?
    Yes, life jackets are required for all guests in the lake at all times. Life jackets are provided and located in the life jacket booth. Outside life jackets not permitted.
  • ARE SHOES REQUIRED?
    Yes, shoes are required for all of the attractions at Kirkwood, except while in the lake, on the Splash Blast Lake Obstacle Course, on the beach, or on Zebby's Splash Pad. Specifically closed-toe shoes, as well as shirts and pants or coverup, are required for Dutch Valley Tubing and Alien Invasion Gel Soft. Water shoes, cover ups, shirts and shorts are available for purchase in the merchandise booth.
  • IS THERE A PLACE TO RINSE OFF?
    Yes, Kirkwood has an outdoor area where you can rinse off both before and after getting in the lake.
  • IS THERE AN OUTDOOR AREA TO EAT?
    Yes. There are a variety of outdoor gathering spaces. Picnic Grove in the Pines, the patio of the Main Lodge, or along Baptist Boulevard all are perfect locations to enjoy a meal or snack from Mama’s Kitchen.
  • MAY I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR BEVERAGE?
    No, Kirkwood does not permit outside food and drinks, coolers, or grills. Exceptions include: snack sized items, refillable water bottles, baby food and formula, and items essential to an individual's health and medical wellness.
  • DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
    Only service animals are permitted at Kirkwood. Other animals and pets are not permitted on the property.
  • WHAT IS THE POLICY ON SMOKING/DRINKING?
    Kirkwood is a smoke-free, drug-free, and alcohol-free property. No smoking, alcoholic beverages, or drugs are allowed on the premises.
  • AT WHAT AGE ARE CHILDREN REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ADMISSION TICKET?
    Children 5 and under are free and do not require an admission ticket. However, guests of all ages will receive a wristband when entering the park and must wear it for the entire duration of their visit.
  • WHAT IS KIRKWOOD'S REFUND POLICY?
    Admission tickets and season memberships are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for any reason. This includes weather related events. We do not issue rain checks. Please check local weather conditions prior to planning your visit.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS DURING MY VISIT?
    Kirkwood Lake will close during a lightning warning. Some portions of the park may close in inclement weather until conditions permit safe operation. Please feel free to seek shelter in your vehicles to wait until such weather passes. Kirkwood does not issue rain checks or refunds for inclement weather.
  • HOW DO I SCHEDULE A GROUP TO VISIT?
    We would love to have you visit Kirkwood! Please contact our scheduling staff at info@gokirkwood.com to schedule or for any questions you may have.
  • HOW DO I RE-ENTER IF I NEED TO LEAVE THE PARK FOR SOME REASON?
    You will receive a wristband upon arrival. In order to re-enter Kirkwood, we ask that you keep your wristband on.
  • DOES KIRKWOOD OFFER DISCOUNTS?
    Kirkwood offers a variety of discounts throughout the season. Please visit gokirkwood.com/events or contact us at info@gokirkwood.com for more information
  • IS KIRKWOOD WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
    Kirkwood is wheelchair accessible, but some of the individual attractions are not. Please contact us at info@gokirkwood.com for more information.
  • ARE THERE AGE OR HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
    Yes, for the safety of all our guests, certain age and height restrictions are in place. Please visit our Attractions and Amenities page for more information.
  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT AT KIRKWOOD?
    Kirkwood accepts Cash / Visa / Master Card / Discover / Apple Pay / Google Pay.
  • WHAT DOES MY ADMISSION TICKET INCLUDE?
    Your daily admission ticket includes**: ● One-day admission to Kirkwood ● Unlimited Play on our many attractions. Carnival games, merchandise, and food/drink purchases are separate. ** Some height restrictions apply. Please visit the Admissions page for more information.
  • DOES THE SEASON MEMBERSHIP INCLUDE TWISTED TRAILS HAUNTED ATTRACTION?
    Yes! Kirkwood Season Memberships include not only our summer activities, but also Twisted Trails Haunted Attraction in the fall.
